Installed Membrane : Toray NHP (Flat Sheet, Polymeric)
Status : Operational
This MBR wastewater treatment plant serves an upscale neighborhood west of Austin. M|MBR staff helped deliver the original 2011 facility, expanding capacity from 150,000 to 500,000 GPD while meeting some of the most stringent nutrient limits in Texas at the time. As the original membrane equipment approached end of service life, M|MBR provided a Toray-based, backward-compatible upgrade using flexible flat-sheet membranes.
The replacement units increased membrane filtration area by 45%, required no changes to ancillary equipment, and significantly improved plant performance. Working closely with on-site operators, M|MBR supported design, procurement, logistics, programming, installation, and commissioning. The retrofit was completed in phases over about 10 days, including roughly 48 hours of membrane replacement work. The workflow was developed to minimize service disruptions.
