Complete Treatment in a Box

BLU|BOX units are pre-built, factory-tested, skid-mounted steel MBR systems, complete with every process component included. Pumps, blowers, valves, instrumentation, membrane equipment, integrated controls. Nothing left to source, coordinate, or integrate separately.

Available for flows from 25,000 gpd to 500,000 gpd, each unit is built on a universal structural frame, a standardized platform that accepts your choice of membrane type, tank material, treatment configuration, disinfection method, and seismic design. One frame. Infinite right-fit configurations.

Built-to-stock units ship in 4 to 6 weeks. Made-to-order and engineered-to-order builds address project-specific requirements without starting from scratch.

Complete Scope – Single Source Reliability

For this project, installation was phased. One BLU|BOX-75 was installed first along with the Equalization Tank and the Sludge Holding Tank. Two years later, a second BLU|BOX-75 was installed and one SPU20. The SPU20, shown in the middle between the two BLU|BOX Units is divided into 12,000-gal of pre-aeration (oxic) volume and 8,000-gal of anoxic volume for the purposes of biological nitrogen pollution removal.

Phased BLU|BOX
Deployment (80,000-gpd)

Complete Scope – Single Source Reliability

For this project, installation was phased. One BLU|BOX-75 was installed first along with the Equalization Tank, Sludge Holding Tank, and offboard Pre-Aeration (PA) Tank. Offboard tankage was site built to handle a future flow of 150,000-gpd. The current rated capacity of the wastewater treatment plant is 80,000-gpd. There is space for a second BLU|BOX-75 in the future. The second unit will be installed as demand increases. Using this approach the private utility owner can calibrate investment to match demand.

Example Completed Turnkey Projects

By the end of this year, we will have built a combined 38 BLU|BOX-75 and BLU|BOX-100 Units. Over the last 20 years, in total, we’ve built, designed, or are in the process of manufacturing nearly 200 MBR package plants. Some recent examples of successful projects are shown below.

What Operators Say

Real MBR plants. Real operators. Real results.

If I had no water to drink,
I would drink our effluent water.

Title 22
Reuse Quality

No other membrane I’ve observed could handle the flow rates we did without severe permeability issues. We were very impressed. We wouldn’t go anywhere else in terms of service.

Facility Operator

Angel of the Winds, WA · 0.24 MGD Buildout

MMBR has been a trusted partner for MBR solutions for many years, consistently providing outstanding solutions for multiple projects. An invaluable resource for our team.

Where BLU|BOX Wins

The right system for the hardest projects.

Tight Timelines

When design-build schedules have no room for custom fabrication delays. Built-to-stock BLU|BOX units ship in 4 to 6 weeks and arrive ready to commission.

Phased Capacity Growth

Add modules as flow grows. No overbuilding, no stranded capital, no new project every time demand increases. The platform scales with you.

High Hauling Cost Environments

Onboard membrane thickening reduces solids volume at the source. Fewer trucks, lower OpEx, less operational risk, before waste ever leaves the site.

Federal Funding Projects

BABA compliant and documented. Opens SRF, USDA, and other federal funding pathways that non-compliant suppliers can’t access.

Reuse and Stringent Limits

Title 22, low nutrient limits, strict permit requirements. MBR delivers effluent quality no conventional system can match. BLU|BOX delivers it fast.

Lowest Cost of Ownership

Modular acquisition, phased capital, reduced hauling, energy-efficient MBR process, and 20+ years of operator-centric support combine in ways no stick-built plant can replicate.
