From lift station to Parshall flume, M|MBR can engineer, supply, or specify every piece of equipment your project needs,
in whatever mix of scope fits your delivery plan.
M|MBR can provide single-source responsibility for everything needed to build a WWTP, or just the modular MBR itself. Lift stations, equalization, biological treatment, membrane filtration, residuals management, effluent disinfection, switchgear, odor control, winterization, and automation are all on the table.
M|MBR takes responsibility for the full WWTP scope: one contract, one point of accountability, from lift station to flume.
Prefer to self-perform the rest of the plant? M|MBR supplies the BLU|BOX or NXT|MBR core and steps back.
As a strategic partner, M|MBR modifies delivery methods to fit the project, supplying engineered products or specifying third-party components as needed.
Onboard · Engineered
Membrane cassettes, biological process train, factory-mounted controls.
Onboard · Commodity
Standard pumps, blowers, and instruments specified for the skid.
Offboard · Engineered
Supplemental Process Units, equipment skids, process tankage.
Volume requirements depend on influent pollutant loading, wastewater characteristics, water temperature, MLSS, and treatment goals. Membrane type matters too. Some tolerate higher MLSS, allowing greater biological capacity in the same tank footprint. For typical municipal wastewater, process volumes run approximately as follows:
Once tank volumes are set, tank type is selected based on schedule, asset relocation plans, and cost. For permanent plants on a typical construction schedule, M|MBR offers polymeric tanks up to 15,000 gal of working volume and bolted steel tanks up to 50,000 gal.
SPUs flex with the project’s capital plan: purchased outright for permanent capacity, or leased for temporary, seasonal, or bridge-period treatment needs.
Increasing biological treatment capacity (anoxic and aeration zones).
Air diffusers, mechanical mixers, instrumentation, blowers, and pumps.
Adding equalization, augmenting biological treatment capacity, waste biosolids storage.
Air diffusers, mechanical mixers, instrumentation.

M|MBR can size and select both polymeric tanks for smaller volumes and larger bolted steel tanks. These options generally cost less to procure and are more readily available through multiple sources, though they typically require more onsite construction, plus stairs and platforms for access. M|MBR provides general specifications for direct procurement by others, cutting a layer of markup while still guaranteeing the process.

Skid-mounted equipment is pre-tested and delivered to site as needed, generally built from coated carbon steel, 8.5 ft wide, in adjustable lengths. Standard sizes are 12 ft, 16 ft, and 20 ft. M|MBR can provide installation services. Productized designs speed up fabrication, installation, and commissioning, and components are typically kept in stock for faster delivery in an emergency.

If speed is critical, M|MBR provides all components as an integrated package. If cost is the priority, M|MBR provides specifications, and in some cases cut sheets, for direct purchase from third-party suppliers.
M|MBR does not typically supply buildings, generators, or automatic transfer switches. Our parent company, IWS, can provide all of these balance-of-plant items, and in some cases can serve as general contractor to build modular WWTPs using NXT|MBR or BLU|BOX solutions.
