DESCRIPTION

The Pikeville wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) is a municipal facility in eastern Kentucky serving residential and light industrial flows under strict permit limits.

To address declining performance, MMBR installed 56 new modules across 4 of 5 reactors in about 12 days, coordinating closely with operations and the membrane manufacturer to minimize service interruptions. The actual time to install 14 units into each tank was about 30-hrs (120-hrs total) or 2-hrs per membrane module.

MMBR supported logistics, inspection, installation, and full-load testing requirements. The modernized system now reliably operates at full capacity, with lower maintenance costs and proven performance even during exceptionally cold winter conditions.

A previous integrator customer of ours was unable to support an end user of a larger MBR system. When MANN+HUMMEL stepped in to support the project we reached out to MMBR for system analysis and installation help. Plant performance dramatically improved after the project thanks in large part to MMBR.
