Stony Point WWTP, one of Texas’s first packaged MBR plants, was originally delivered in 2007 with MMBR team support and later converted to flexible flat-sheet membranes.
After more than two decades in service, the modules failed unexpectedly in 2025. MMBR responded within days with backward-compatible replacement equipment from local inventory.
Technicians worked with plant operators to complete a 4-module changeout in 17 hours during a rain event. The plant quickly returned to design performance, with improved operability and reliability.
