MMBR helped deliver the Yakama Nation tribal WWTP in 2008. When the original MBR system needed more capacity, MMBR upgraded the plant in 2017 from rigid-plate Kubota ES-200 SMU membranes to flexible flat-sheet BIO-CEL 416 modules, doubling capacity from 0.18 to 0.36 MGD. In 2025, after nearly nine years of successful operation, MMBR supported a second backward-compatible upgrade to BIO-CEL L+ for added performance and safety margin.
The part-for-part replacement was coordinated with plant operators and took approximately 24 HRS of scheduled, phased downtime.
The project highlights MMBR’s ability to extend plant life and solve capacity constraints with practical aftermarket solutions.
