Is Your Plant In Crisis ?

MBR problems do not wait for business hours. When a membrane is breached, a controller stops responding,
or a storm takes out half the plant, the response window is measured in hours. Permits, flows, and the
community served by the plant do not pause while a purchase order works its way through approvals.

Membrane failure

A breach from debris, an aerator failure, or a rapid loss of integrity takes capacity out the same day. Replacement equipment quoted in months is no answer to a problem measured in hours.

SCADA emergency

The plant is down and the control system is the reason. Obsolete hardware and unsupported software make remote troubleshooting hardest at the exact moment speed matters most.

Process upset

Foam, a shock load, or a change nobody can identify sends effluent the wrong way. It shows up as a membrane problem, but the cause is almost always somewhere upstream.

Natural disaster

A hurricane, flood or extended freeze damages equipment and cuts off access. Recovery depends on how fast equipment and people can be mobilized, not on who built the plant.

Wet weather and peak flow

Storm peaks run far above what the membranes can take. Acute, seasonal, and predictable enough to plan for, which is what separates it from the four above.

Increase membrane cleaning

Membrane cleaning frequency is increasing or mechanical cleaning is required due to failed headworks or operational issues

After the storm, we were working frantically trying to take care of our wastewater since our system had been flooded. We placed BLU|BOX units at crucial places in our wastewater system. If we didn’t have these units, we’d have no chance of our business community being able to open back up.
